The service

Dormant accounts. Off your list.

A dormant filing is one page of balance sheet and four statutory statements. What you are buying is not the page — it is the certainty that Companies House accepted it.

Who this is for

Companies that are dormant in the Companies House sense: no significant accounting transactions in the period — typically a company formed and never traded, or one kept as a name. One bank charge breaks dormancy, so if you are not sure, the dormant test is explained here, and the filing page asks you four of those questions — has the company ever traded, did any money move, is it a subsidiary, are its shares paid — before you approve or pay, and stops if the answers rule dormant accounts out. We cannot see the company's bank account, so the answers are yours; the register checks (company type, status, earlier accounts) are ours.

How it works

Four steps. You answer four questions about the company and give its share capital and signing director. We prepare the accounts and show you a plain-English summary of every figure and statement we will file — built on the layout that passes the Companies House validator ("meets the iXBRL specification and business validation rules"). You approve it; nothing is ever submitted without that click. We file through our direct Companies House connection and poll until the register answers, then send you a verifiable filing certificate.

What you need

Two things: your company number, and the company's 6-character authentication code — the legal signature for online filing. No code yet? It arrives by post in up to 10 working days, so request it today; your filing waits ready in the meantime and nothing expires.

What it costs — and what happens if it goes wrong

£19.99, one-off, nothing recurring — the pricing page has the whole arithmetic. A rejection is our problem: we fix and resubmit free, and if your accounts cannot be accepted, the £19.99 comes back in full. The late filing penalty this protects against starts at £150 for a private company.
